Breda: two horses taken out

The horse inspection of the CAIO and CAIP-A Breda took place this morning under stormy circumstances. While the wind blew over the site of the Prinsenhoeve estate, 224 horses were presented to the veterinarians and the judges.


Two horses, the 7-year-old gelding Vasco of Ben Voets (Netherlands Antilles) and the 13 year old gelding Luma de Lux from Swden’s Fredrik Persson were declared not fit to compete. Dutch driver Hans Heus also starts with a disadvantage. Heus decided to withdraw the 10-year-old KWPN horse Sante (v. Lancet) before the horse inspection.

The Dutch team exists of Ijsbrand Chardon, Koos de Ronde and Theo Timmerman. The will compete in Breda against teams from the Netherlands Antilles, Belgium, Germany, France, Sweden and Switzerland.
Eleven ponyteams and 34 horseteams will battle in the next days in Breda.

The draw will taek place at 17.00 hrs, afther that the starting lists for dressage and marathon will be available here, thanks to Philippe Lienart.
