Budapest: Exell strongest again

Australia’s Boyd Exell was the strongest driver again tonight in the warm up competition of the FEI World Cup Driving in Hungary’s capital city Budapest. Only Dutch driver Koos de Ronde managed to stay close to the title defender during the two rounds and came second.

Eight competitors appeared in the arena for a competition over two rounds. Hungarian course designer Gabor Fintha had designed a very fast course, which caused some problems for a few drivers. All competitors got a second chance in the second round. Wild card driver Miklos Juhasz and World Cup newcomer Jiri Nesvacil closed the gates tonight.
Zoltan Lazar has moved back to his team after having driven a pair last season and came fifth with a wild card, ahead of Werner Ulrich. Jozsef Dobrovitz had to put a new team together after he recently sold three of his horses to IJsbrand Chardon. Dobrovitz proofed to be a true horseman and came third ahead of Daniel Wurgler.
