Christian Schlögelhofer Austrian Champion Horse Fours
Last weekend, Königswiesen in Austria was the stage for the Austrian Championships for four-in-hand horses. Christian Schlögelhofer won gold, Ewald Wurm silver and title defender Josef Leibetseder jr. was awarded with bronze.
Schlögelhofer came third in dressage, took the lead after the cones and had to give way to Wurm by very small difference in the marathon on Sunday. In the final standings, Schlögelhofer had a lead of over seven penalty points to Wurm.
Ewald Wurm finished second in dressage behind winner Susanne Leibetseder and kept this position throughout the competition
Josef Leibetseder jr. finished fifth in dressage, second in the cones and had to be content with the third place in this year's Championships.
