Fábiánsebestyén: Leaders hold on to their first place

The leaders of the standings after dressage and marathon held on tot heir first position in the final obstacle driving competition of the international driving event for singles, pairs and teams in Fábiánsebestyén, Hungary.

After his first place in the dressage and his third place in the marathon, Bartlomiej Kwiatek won the cones and the combined competition, ahead of his sister Weronika and Károly Hodi.

All yes were set on the pair drivers, who used the competition in Fábiánsebestyén as test event for next year’s World Championships. Despite the rain, which tortured the competition site once again today, three drivers managed to stay clear in Gábor Fintha’s cones course. As expected, Vilmos Lázár won, ahead of the strong performing Jarmo Tauriainen and Lászlo Farkas.

Zoltán Lázár proofed his superb form throughout all phases of the competition and only had a few time penalties in the cones, which did not endanger his first place. József Dobrovitz had one knock down and stayed second, ahead of Daniel Schneiders, who can be very satisfied after top placings in dressage and marathon and a clear cones course.
