Four-in-hand drivers perform in Gothenburg

After it was announced that the FEI World Cup™ Driving Final 2015 was not allocated to Gothenburg, but to Bordeaux, the organisation of the Gothenburg Horse Show decided to invite several four-in-hand drivers to perform in the Scandinavium Arena anyway.

On Saturday afternoon 28th February and Sunday afternoon 1st March, Swedish four-in-hand drivers Fredrik Persson, Fredrik Rahm, Axel Olin and Johan Dengg and five-times World Cup Champion Boyd Exell from Australia will compete against each other in a World Cup format competition. Swedish international Course Designer Dan Henriksson, who will also be responsible for the course in the Final in Bordeaux, will be back in Gothenburg, where he designed the courses for the Finals and the Qualifiers since the start of the FEI World Cup™ Driving in 2001.

The city of Gothenburg will host the European Championships in four-in-hand driving, jumping, dressage and para dressage in 2017. It is very likely that the four-in-hand drivers will return to the Scandinavium in the spring of 2017 to compete in an official leg of the World Cup.
