Horst: the show has begun!

Under a brisk spring sunshine, the international combined driving competition and Dutch four-in-hand championships for horses began today in Horst with the veterinary inspection. The beautiful Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen is host to for this first edition of this prestigious competition.

Over 120 competitors and their teams representing 19 different countries are deeply impressed with this stunning brand new accommodation with seven brand new marathon obstacles and beautiful dressage and cones rings.

From the 315 horses brought in front of the judges panel, only the 13 year-old Lustiano gelding from Belgian driver Pierre Manuel Brasseur was determined ‘not fit to compete’.

One of four-in-hand driver Mareike Harms horses must be re-inspected tomorrow.

The dressage for the pair horses and single horses has already begun, with the balance of the classes as well as the four-in-hand horses and para equestrian competitors driving dressage tomorrow.
