Nebanice: the marathon winners

The marathon of the CAI-A Nebanice took place under sunny circumstances on Saturday, 13th July.

In the single horse class it was Poland's Bartolomiej Kwiatek who dominated the marathon. He won with his top horse Lokan and came second with his younger horse Niger. The third place went to Franz Schiltz (LUX), who put down a strong performance with his new horse Gilberto Gold TSF.

The Czech top pair drivers from the dressage put everything at stake in the marathon. Jiri Nesvacil was successful, but his colleagues Gössl and Hrouda were unable to equal their good dressage performances. The marathon was won by Jacek Kozlowski, followed by Jiri Nesvacil and Radek Nesvacil.

Jozsef Dobrovitz sr. took advantage of his experience in the four-in-hand class, knew when he could speed up and slow down to avoid the many balls in the obstacles.  He won, closely followed by German top drivers Michael Brauchle and Georg von Stein, who had knocked some balls down.

Carine Poentis (FRA) won the marathon in the pony pairs class, followed by German drivers Wolfgang Scholz and Birgit Spalt.

Rainer Ochs (GER) was the best pony four-in-hand driver, he stayed ahead of his 4 compatriots.
