New sponsor for Theo Timmerman

The bronze medallist of the FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy Theo Timmerman has a new sponsor. The 44-year-old Czech businessman Roman Petr will support the reigning Dutch and European Champion at least until the end of 2016.

Petr became involved in the carriage driving sport around four years ago when his children started taking riding lessons at the place where Czech four-in-hand driver Jiri Nesvacil sr. trains his horses. Petr was enthusiastic straight away and became the translator of the Czech for-in-hand drivers, who are trained by Timmerman since 2013: “After having supported Nesvacil sr. for three years, I felt it was time to move on and I started to work with Theo. We have a lot in common as individuals,” explains Petr, “and that is very important when you start to cooperate.”

Petr has bought three horses of Theo’s successful four-in-hand, Boy, Mister and Dani, and has bought several horses with which Theo would like to take his team to the next level. “Our goal is to refine our team even more, to improve and to hold on to our good performances. I would like to thank my current sponsor Hennie Hagen from Fyto Horse Care for the great cooperation in the past years and his trust for the past ten years.”
