Piber: Provisional lead for Suzy Stafford

USA's Suzy Stafford has taken the provisional lead in the Dressage competition of the FEI World Single Driving Championships in Piber, Austria. Stafford put down a nice test with her Morgan horse PVF Peace of Mind and was the only driver who scored under 50 penalty points today. French driver Renaud Vinck closely followed her on the second place.

Former World Pair Driving Champion Georg Moser from Austria finished on the provisional third place today, driving the 12-year-old Austrian warm blood gelding Nordwind.

Today it was shown that the new dressage test for the single horses is quite demanding. Several drivers scored over 70 penalty points this morning and it is up to the goodwill of the Judges if they are allowed to start in the marathon.

The remaining 38 competitors will enter the main arena on Friday, amongst which the reigning World Champion Wilbrord van den Broek with his 20-year-old KWPN gelding Oscar and the 2014 bronze medallist Marlen Fallak.
