Valkenswaard: three horses out after vet check

The first CAI in Valkenswaard began today under stormy skies as competitors were welcomed with snow and hail showers. The unique event is located on the 'horse boulevard' of Valkenswaard and held on the grounds surrounding the stables of Boyd Exell.

The vet check took place today late in the afternoon. The thirteen year old KWPN gelding Totally Shrek from pair driver Ben Voets failed to receive a green light. From the four-in-hand teams, two horses were not passed; Michael Brauchles twelve year old mare Sunny and Peter de Rondes seven year old KWPN Egeran. The drivers will all still be competing with their remaining horses who were all deemed 'fit to compete'.
