Wolfgang Asendorf named as course designer for the World Championships in Breda

The German 'O' course designer Wolfgang Asendorf will be responsible for designing the 2015 Pony World Championships and the 2016 World Championships for four-in-hand horses, which will both take place in Breda. He will be working together with Josef Middendorf, who is assisting him in Outdoor Brabant September 24-28.

Asendorf has designed many international competitions including championships, World Cups, and the prestigious CHIO in Aachen.
Tom Overeem, chairman of Outdoor Brabant is extremely happy with the team they have assembled for the coming World Championships. "We know already from previous competitions and championships that Asendorf's courses are both challenging and attractive."
Asendorf and Middendorf are looking forward to getting to work in Breda. "It is an honour to design the course at the Prinsenhoeve Estate and we are working on creating a course that will test both the horses/ponies and drivers"

Asendorf achieved his 'O' course designer status in 2000, which means that he can build both national and international championship courses. His courses often feature large obstacles with numerous gates where the drivers are challenged in their technique and reinsmanship.
