Geen Belgische menploeg naar Kentucky

The Belgian Driving Committee has this week decided not to send a driving team to the WEG in Kentucky.

Momenteel komt alleen vierspanrijder Gert Schrijvers in aanmerking voor deelname aan de WEG. Tweevoudig Wereldkampioen Felix-Marie Brasseur trok eerder deze maand zijn kandidatuur voor deelname aan het WK in. Schrijvers moet nog wel een aantal paarden kwalificeren volgens de FEI en Belgische eisen alvorens hij van de Belgische federatie groen licht krijgt om naar Kentucky af te reizen.

At the moment, only Belgian four-in-hand driver Gert Schrijvers has a chance to compete at the WEG on individual basis. Double World Champion Felix-Marie Brasseur withdrew his candidacy to compete at the WEG earlier this month. Schrijvers will still have to qualify several horses according to the FEI and Belgian regulations before he is certain to compete at the WEG.
