Hammelev Riding Centre (DEN)

19-03-2011 - 19-03-2011

Overig

Saturday 19th March will be an exciting day for carriage driving at Hammelev Riding Centre.

This is the second time that Henrik Hoeper is holding the sale, which last year attracted 350 driving enthusiasts. Visitors are expected again from both Denmark and abroad.
The event is not an auction but a viewing day for a variety of sale horses and ponies shown in harness.

This year the event has expanded to include more shops from Denmark’s leading suppliers of harness, equipment and last but not least, carriages for both pleasure and competition.

The day is aimed at all with an interest in driving at any level. Just as last year, Henrik and his neighbour, who is international pony pair’s driver, Lars Dau, will be showing sale horses all in harness. Other sale horses are driven by their owners.

Exciting entertainment

For entertainment and as a pause between sale horses, there will be held an unofficial competition between 6 top international single drivers. Nonetheless than reigning World Champion Thorsten Zarembowicz and reigning silver medallist and multiple Top Driver Award winner, Bartolemiej Kwiatek are coming from both Germany and Poland, to compete in the indoor obstacle/marathon competition. World Championship team from Denmark, including Anders Hansen (3rd place marathon, Pratoni) and Golden Wheel 2010 winner Henrik Hoeper are participating. Last but not least are Linn Stoekken Nielsen, Norway and Glenn Hesslo from Sweden.

It will be possible to cheer for these drivers, in a competition involving speed and accuracy. A sport that is easy to understand for both an experienced horseman, or for somebody who doesn’t know one end of a horse from the other.

The shops and stables are open from 9.30 am and the sale starts at 10.30 am.
