Salland: Wereldkampioen wint dressuur in Giethmen
The 2007 World Champion single pony Peter Koux from Denmark put down the best performance today at Pony Driving Salland. Yvonne de Ruyter was the best Dutch competitor, driving her Dyno Stables Cupido to the second place ahead of Robert Buck from Great Britain.
Af en toe was het een beetje bewolkt en er stond een klein windje waardoor de temperaturen in Giethmen zeer aangenaam waren. Koux reed een mooie proef met de 13-jarige Welsh Cob Taffy en was na afloop dik tevreden: “Ik ben erg blij met mijn proef, hij liep erg lekker. Ik heb ook veel zin in de marathon morgen, het is hier echt prachtig! De hindernissen zijn vrij technisch, maar dat mag ook op zo’n mooi evenement.”
Morgen staat de deelnemers een schitterende, afwisselende, maar pittige marathon te wachten in de bossen van de Lemelerberg. Na ruim 9 kilometer komen de deelnemers vanaf 11.00 uur op het hoofdterrein waar zij de acht door Johan Jacobs en Daan van Dijk ontworpen hindernissen moeten overwinnen. De marathon is om ca. 17.30 uur ten einde.
It was a little cloudy and there was an occasional breeze which made the temperature very nice in Giethmen. Koux drove a nice test wit the 13 year old Welsh Cob Taffy and was very pleased afterwards: “It went very well for me today. I am also looking forward to the marathon tomorrow. The obstacles are quite technical but that is fine fora n event like this!”
The competitors will all start in the marathon tomorrow which will take them through the very beautiful, varied but heavy marathon in the forets of the Lemelerberg. After nine kilometers they will arrive at the main show grounds where the eight obstacles, designed by Johan Jacobs and Daan van Dijk, are awaiting them. The marathon will be finished at around 17.30 hrs.
