Stockholm: Clear rounds for Exell and Eriksson

Boyd Exell and Tomas Eriksson were the only drivers with double clear rounds in the warm up competition of the FEI World Cup Driving in Sweden’s capital city Stockholm. Exell won this competition over 7 seconds faster than Eriksson.

1. Boyd Exell (Aus) 114.55 (0)
2. Tomas Eriksson (Swe) 122.33 (0)
3. Daniel Würgler (Sui) 130.75 (5)
4. Christoph Sandmann (Ger) 146.39 (5)
5. Werner Ulrich (Sui) 153.54 (15)
6. Fredrik Persson (Swe) 164.96 (15)

A thrilled Daniël Würgler, who started his World Cup season in Stockholm, took the third place. With a brand new horse in the lead of his team, Würgler set a fast time with only one knock down. Both Christoph Sandmann and Werner Ulrich also started their World Cup season in the packed Globen Arena, but missed the indoor experience, which is necessary at this level. Sandmann came fourth, ahead of Ulrich and home driver Fredrik Persson.

Swedish course designer Dan Henriksson had designed a challenging course for the competitors in which there was hardly space to make speed. Many short and sharp turns did not allow competitors to get into their rhythm. Exell was the only one who made the course look easy; he drove his experienced team fast and faultless through the obstacles.
