Pau: one pony not fit to compete

Only one of the over 185 ponies that were presented at the horse inspection of the FEI World Pony Driving Championships was declared not fit to compete by the Ground Jury and the veterinarians in a sunny Pau this morning.

The 8-year-old Mokka of Hungarian pair driver Maté Rohr did not pass the horse inspection. The pony of Italian single driver Luca Cassottana will be re-inspected tomorrow. The Italians will have to keep their fingers crossed, because Luca is the only single driver entered and if the pony does not pass, this means Italy will not be represented with a team anymore.

The draw for the order of the dressage will be done this afternoon at 15.30 hrs. The opening will take place at 18.00 hrs.
