Baborówko 2022: Boyd Exell and Rens Egberink in the lead after marathon

Saturday the marathon of the Nations Cup for pairs and Four-in-Hands in Baborówko, Poland was held. The course covered an A-section of six kilometers and a B-section of approximately nine kilometers. Speed, precision and accuracy were key.

Victory for Daniel Schneiders

In the CAIO-H4, the victory went to the Austrian Daniel Schneiders. Boyd Exell had to settle for second place, but due to his good dressage score, he is still in first place in the intermediate standings.

“We keep the World Championships, which will take place in 2.5 weeks, in mind during this show. We wanted to drive the marathon smoothly and quickly, without taking any risks. The course is great and the public and the organization also let nothing to be desired. We really want to come back next year”, says Boyd Exell.

Third place went to German Markus Stottmeister.

Small differences again

The Polish Marek Baryłko won the marathon of the pairs. His compatriot Szymon John was second and the third place went to Rens Egberink. Due to the small differences in dressage, Rens Egberink has left the German top 3 after dressage behind him. He is now above Torsten Koalick, Carola Slater-Diener and Sandro Koalick.

Yet the top three is less than a ball away from each other. Everything is still possible!

Live stream
