Beekbergen: Bram Chardon in the lead

The Dutch Championship in Beekbergen started really well for Bram Chardon. He was the only competitor to score under 40 penalty points in dressage and is in the lead with 37.52.

First to go Chester Weber, was in the lead for a long time. Yet, in the end, he was beaten by the Dutchman. Of course, Bram would not have dared to dream of this outcome beforehand. “I had a very good feeling right away. So I thought it might be possible to get below Chester’s 41. Yes, and the fact that I then drove a 37.52 is a great feeling.” The test was beautifully relaxed and harmonious. The horses showed nice extensions and worked well together. There were no major mistakes. Chester did have a mistake in his rein-back. “I now had Idol in the lead again and that provided real added value,” explains Bram. “All the horses got better because of him. The team is doing really well in dressage the last couple of shows. I am very happy!”

Good tests
