Beekbergen: Ingmar Veneman remains in the lead at Dutch Championships Para Driving

After two days, Ingmar Veneman leads the standings. Today was the marathon, which was won by Aad van Marwijk. He was the fastest in obstacles 2 to 7. Ingmar Veneman was on average about 5 seconds slower per obstacle, but after her win in dressage yesterday, she managed to hold onto her lead from dressage.

Good horse and groom

Three years ago, Ingmar bought the grey Siglavy Linada from Saskia van Heesch. Over the years they became a great team. “I now I am spoiled with a very good horse and a nice groom”, says Ingmar. Saskia van Heesch is now her groom in the competition. The now 16-year-old Lipizzaner Siglavy Linada can do a very good dressage. “It could have done a better test here”, tells Ingmar critically. But with 47.36 penalty points in dressage, she immediately took a big lead over her competitors.

“I have to get used to it. He is the same color as my other horse, but this one is really different. He is a bit tougher and wants to work hard. But he is nice to drive. Tomorrow is the cones and that is my  and my horse its favorite phase. We both likes it!” Tomorrow we will know what the podium of the Para Drivers looks like.
