Breda: Pfeffer wins Pair dressage

This morning the remaining 19 pair drivers entered the main arena of Outdoor Brabant for their dressage test. The drivers and the many volunteers and officials of the FEI World Pony Driving Championships in Breda bared the heavy rain showers, which tortured the grounds of the Prinsenhoeve estate the whole morning. Germany’s Jan-Felix Pfeffer put down a top performance and won this phase, ahead of Great Britain’s Anna Grayston and the second German team member Christof Weihe.

Pfeffer won the dressage with his superb pair of light-footed German riding ponies, showing much elegance, suppleness. The German Vice Champion in 2014 and 2015 scored 39,49 penalty points, which put him just ahead of Anna Grayston who put down a score of 40,00. Grayston used the same pair of ponies she came third with in the dressage at the World Championships in Greven in 2009. The reigning German Champion Christof Weihe finished third with a score of 41,22, ahead of the third German team member, 2011 World Pony Pair Champion Dieter Baackmann.
