EC Youth: Anett Érsek and Monika Swiecicka in the lead

The FEI European Youth Driving Championships in Szilvásvárad started today with the dressage for the Children en Juniors. The 14-year-old Hungarian Anett
Érsek took the lead in the Children’s class. The 18-year-old 2012 individual silver medallist Monika Swiecicka won the dressage in the Juniors class.

In the Children’s class, the difference between Érsek and her closest opponent, Austria’s Marie Theres Höllmüller, was very small. Höllmüller finished just 0,21 penalty points behind the winner. Germany’s Lea Benschus followed in third position.

Member of the 2012 silver medal team Miriam Kampmann (GER) finished second in the Juniors class, ahead of the Hungarian driver David Leh?cz. Leh?cz was closely followed by Karolin Romahn (GER) and Viktoria Gösweiner (AUT).

The international Ground Jury, which is composed of Mark Wentein (BEL), Sarah Mullins (IRL), Zsuszanna Mihok (HUN), Karin Schwarzl (GER) and Henk van Amerongen (NED), will judge the Young Drivers tomorrow in the dressage.
