Exloo 2020: the show has begun!

This morning at 9:00 am the fourth edition of the international combined driving competition in Exloo officially began! As the grounds of the Exloo Equestrian Centre began to warm up, the 240 horses and ponies taking part in the competition participated in the veterinary inspection.

101 competitors

In total 101 competitors representing 9 nations will be starting in Exloo, including notably two-time Pair Horse World Champion Martin Hölle from Hungary. The complete French four-in-hand team, the Belgian short-listed drivers, the Dutch long-listed drivers as well as a number of German team drivers will be preparing for the World Championships in Valkenswaard this October.

With 25 competitors in the single horse division it is the largest and all eyes will be on favourites Saskia Siebers and Rudolf Pestman. The single drivers will be aiming for a coveted place at the World Championships in Pau the end of October.

No section A

After the veterinary inspection the dressage will begin at 13:00 with the single horses and ponies.

On Friday the remaining classes will drive their dressage in the sand or grass rings, followed by the marathon on Saturday and the cones on Sunday.

The A section in the marathon will be replaced by a controlled warm-up due to the extreme heat.

 

Spectators welcome

Spectators are welcome but must make a reservation via email  administratie@hippischcentrumexloo.nl.

Admittance on Thursday 13 August and Friday 14 August is free

Admittance Saturday 15 August: € 15.
Admittance Sunday 16 August: € 10.

Everyone is asked to comply to the social distancing guidelines of 1.5 meter.
