FEI updates qualifications FEI World Cup Driving final

Due to the current uncertain Covid-19 situation and the fact that some of the FEI Driving World Cup legs have been and still may be cancelled, the FEI Board approved the following resolution regarding the access to the final in Leipzig.

Participation in the final

The following rules have been established:

– If the season has 5 legs the best 2 results from each athlete will count towards the qualification of the final.

– If the season has 4 to 2 legs the best result from each athlete will count towards the qualification to the final.

– If the final is cancelled the entire season is cancelled

If there are any ties, these will be broken according to Art. 1.4 of the FEI Driving World Cup Rules, which can be found here.

In the case there still are 2 or more drivers with a tie, or who did only 1 competition, then the 2021 Outdoor World Cup Qualifiers Ranking will decide which driver goes to the final. (The 2021 Outdoor World Cup Qualifiers Ranking is the same as from where the top 10 drivers had access to compete at the 2021/2022 FEI Driving World Cup series.

The FEI Driving World Cup Standings will be updated to reflect the number of legs that are currently on the FEI Calendar, after the CAI-W Leg in London.
