French pair drivers prepare for Drebkau

During the last days, the French national competition in Lignières was the stage for a training camp for the French pair drivers to prepare for the upcoming World Championships in Drebkau. Under the supervision of National Trainer Félix-Marie Brasseur, the drivers were trained in all phases of the competition.

Raphael Berrard, Frédéric Bousquet, Eve Cadi Verna, François Dutilloy, Franck Grimonprez and Maxime Maricourt attended the training, where National Trainer Brasseur worked closely together with some of the drivers’ personal trainers like Michael Freund.
The training session finished with a dedicated cones course in which the various options were tested.
The French team will be defending the bronze team medal in Drebkau from 11th to 15th September.

Parallel to the pairs training camp, the French young driving talents were also present for a training session in Lignières. They are trained by international top four-in-hand driver Benjamin Aillaud, who recently won individual silver at the European Championships in Donaueschingen.

The Children, Juniors and Young Drivers are preparing for the European Championships on their home soil in Lamotte-Beuvron, home of the French Equestrian Federation, in August 2020.
