International Driving season kicks off in Caravino

For the fourth consecutive year the Equestrian Center “Lo Sperone” at Caravino, near Turin, organizes a 2* event open to all categories of Horse and Pony turnouts to which all Youth categories were recently added.

The competition taking place on March 22-26 is meant to give a good start into the outdoor season with a Level 4 President of the Jury, Pia Skar from Denmark, assisted by 4 International Jury Members, in the year when 3 important championships are staged this side of the Ocean: the World Championships for Singles and for Para-Drivers and the European Championship for Youth Drivers. The Young Drivers (age 16 to 21) will have the first opportunity to test the introduction of the new dressage test of the forthcoming Championship: the 3*A HP1 and 3*A HP2.

Considering the early date, Caravino cannot guarantee of course continuous sunshine but can certainly offer an excellent drainage of the ground thanks to the location bordering a river and plenty of space for practicing and exercising the horses. The foreign competitors so far appreciated the good technical features and the familiar ambiance. This year some fully new obstacles are being built and work is well under way.

The organizer, Mr. Mario Filisetti, whose entire family is preparing for the event, including his wife who will prepare delicious homemade Italian food, hopes to welcome many drivers from abroad: il would be a nice reward for all the work and passion he puts into the preparations.
