Kentucky: Twelfth national title for Weber

During the second phase of the Kentucky Classic event, the marathon obstacles designed by Richard Nicoll and built by Mick Costello, Lenny Courtemanche, and Olof Larsson held up beautifully despite the unseasonably cold weather and wet, muddy conditions.

The spectators who braved the inclement weather enjoyed a full day of obstacle driving, from single ponies through four-in-hand teams of horses. Then, by contrast, today's cones course in the Kentucky Horse Park's famous Rolex Stadium took place under blue skies and glorious bright sunshine. In the end, Chester Weber claimed his twelfth USEF National Four-in-Hand Championship, with James Fairclough finishing as Reserve Champion.
