Royal Horsepower at Paleis Het Loo

On May 25th and 26th the Royal Stables are offering visitors the unique chance to view up close the King's royal horses, automobiles and carriages at Paleis Het Loo. The event titled 'Royal Horsepower' will take place in the round stables of Paleis Het Loo.

A number of royal carriages will be driven over the Stallenplein over the course of the day. They royal oldtimers such as the Cadillac, Queen Wilhelmina’s Mercedes 300 Cabriolet and Queen Juliana’s Austin Sheerline can be seen from up close.

In the hitching area the farrier will be at work and the care and hitching of the horses can be seen.

There are various children’s activities organized, such as a chance to learn about the royal jobs such as grooms and chauffeurs in the Kinderatelier.  On Sunday from 11:00 until 14:00 will be a concert of light classical music.

There will be no extra charge for this event, only regular admission costs will be charged.
