Windsor: Jan de Boer takes the top honours

Dutch pony four-in-hand driver Jan de Boer has won the international driving competition during the Royal Windsor Horse Show for the fifth time this morning. Hungary’s Vilmos Jámbor, followed by marathon winner Michael Bügener, took the second place.

De Boer was the runner up after dressage and marathon with minimum difference to Jámbor. The 2007 World Champion managed to only knock one ball down in the challenging course and herewith put extra pressure on Jámbor. The organiser of the 2019 FEI World Pony Driving Championships was unfortunately not able to hold his lead and dropped to the second place, allowing De Boer to take the top honours.

Jan de Boer previously won the pony team competition at Windsor in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.
