Worlds best Four-in-hand drivers coming to NIC Assen

The International competition that takes place in Assen, the Netherlands will feature an exclusive program on Friday October 10th and Saturday October 11th. At least six top four-in-hand drivers will appear in the TT Arena for a spectacular World Cup Test Event, which may become an official FEI World Cup Event next year.

The competition will begin Friday night at 10:00pm with the six drivers will driving two rounds. The results from both drives will be added together to determine the starting order for Saturday, with the best driver starting last.

Saturday night the four-in-hand drivers will enter the arena for their first round at 7:00pm. The best three drivers will retun for the Winning Round where they will battle to determine the winner of this first edition of World Cup Driving in Assen.

In addition to the World Cup on Friday night, the golden team and team coach Harry de Ruyter will be honoured by the organization for their superb presentation in Caen.

NIC (Northern International Competition) Assen will proudly host their golden dutch team from the World Equestrian Games in Caen.  IJsbrand Chardon, Koos de Ronde and individual bronze medal winnar Theo Timmerman will be accompanied by the Netherlands first reserve driver Mark Weusthof. Christoph Sandmann, who has won multiple German Championships and his sucessful countryman Daniel Schneiders will also be travelling to the TT Arena to compete in this most exciting branch of the four-in-hand sport. The atmosphere becomes electric with a light show and music as the horses race around the course consisting of cones as well as mobile marathon obstacles.
