The riding and driving club Straelen has been organizing national driving competitions in close co-operation with the driving club from Velden, the Netherlands, which is only a stone’s throw away. After consulting the German Federation it was decided to organize a CAI-B competition to make the driving sport even more popular in this German border area and to give German and Dutch competitors the opportunity to compete close to their homes.

The competition site is a beautiful accommodation with two dressage arenas and practice arenas and large parking area for the competitors close to the site. International German course designer Alexander Flocke and the building crew are building seven obstacles for the marathon.
Dr. Franz Vetter is President of the Ground Jury, the other members are Peter Bonhof and Gerrit Kraai from the Netherlands, Myriam de Faudeur from Belgium and Elimar Thunert from Germany.
There is a small promo village on site with various products and attractions. Meals will be served on a daily basis in the party tent, which also serves as place to be for the prize giving ceremonies and live music.
