The British Masters Second Leg at Bury Farm

Having clinched the top spot at Merrist Wood on Sunday 18 October, Dick Lane drove his incredible and versatile four-horse carriage team to yet another victory at Bury Farm on Saturday 24 October.

Bury Farm hosted the second leg of the British Masters and was part of the venue’s prestigous Gala Night including top class show jumping and Shetland pony racing. The night was completely sold out and packed with spectors who witnessed a thrilling evening with up-tempo music, drama and excitement.
Dick Lane’s skill and determination paid off with his final score of 292.05 beating Dan Naprous into second place with a score of 302.15. Karen Bassett took third place finishing on 324.45 followed by Pippa Bassett in fourth on 353.19 and Barnaby Bowman, fifth on 377.54.

With two wins firmly under his belt and the ‘wild card’ now within his grasp, could Dick Lane make it a hat-trick?
The third and final leg of the British Masters series will be at Addington Equestrian Centre near Milton Keynes (MK18 2JR) www.addingtonmanor.co.uk on Saturday 7 November 2015. Doors open at 6.00 pm with the British Masters competition commencing at approximately 8.00 pm. British Carriage Driving memembers can benefit from free admission.

There’s still everything to play for with the winner being presented with the ‘wild card’ to compete at The London International Horse Show, Olympia on 15 – 21 December 2015.
