Candidates new chairman and member of the FEI Driving Committee announced

The FEI has announced the candidates for the position of chairman and member of the FEI Driving Committee. Current chairman Károly Fugli will step down in November after twelve years, the maximum of three terms. Jeroen Houterman's four-year term also ends in November.

Joaquin Medina (ESP), Hugh Scott-Barrett (GBR) and Franz Schiltz (LUX) have applied to succeed Fugli. Both Medina and Schiltz are already current members of the FEI Driving Committee.

Jan Devaere (BEL), Andrew Counsell (GBR) and Josef Heisterkamp (GER) put themselves forward as members of the FEI Driving Committee. The Driving Committee prefers a candidate with a Technical Delegate and/or Organiser background.

During the FEI General Assembly in Mexico from 18 to 21 November, the National Federations will elect Károly Fugli’s successor. The members of the FEI Driving Committee will nominate Jeroen Houterman’s successor. This nomination is approved during the General Assembly.
