Ashfields expect to welcome drivers from around the country, including the top Horse Pair drivers aiming to make selection for the World Championships later on in 2019.

The competition takes place at the home of reigning British National Champion Wilf Bowman-Ripley who will be making an appearance with his team of horses on Friday and Sunday as a warm up prior to heading to Royal Windsor. Another one to watch is Alfie Budd, who is also competing on home turf with his Single Horse Striker. Alfie is usually the king of Dressage, but don’t be fooled on Saturday he will also be seen flying through the water obstacles and can be spotted in his red marathon colours.

Three days of fierce competition covering three phases includes;

Friday: Dressage, which is all about precision and perfection

Sunday: Cones, the final day of competition and the final test of skill and accuracy. Against the clock competitors drive a set cones course of twenty elements in the aim of completing all twenty without knocking any balls off the top of the cones.

The magnificent world class event is free to spectators and a real family occasion with food and drink available to purchase.  The Club house will be open for food and drinks within walking distance from all the action.Parking is available on-site and all aspects of the competition take place in the fields adjacent to the car park.
