In Remembrance: Norbert Üffing

The voice of the German carriage driving sport has passed away.  Norbert Üffing died unexpectedly during a game of handball on Tuesday evening.

The 51 year-old Norbert Üffing was one of the most recognized and renowned voices in the driving world.  To not hear his voice at a large national or international event was unheard of.  His emotional and personal style was loved by both the drivers and event organizers, he could explain the driving sport to the public and create an enthousiastic atmosphere like no one else.

Two weeks ago he was the voice of Riesenbeck, and just last weekend his outstanding announcing skills were recognized at the German Young Driver Championships.
