Sarah-Louise Oxborrow was National President of the Jury with Derrick Mayes and Julia Tomasik completing the judging panel. Jeannie Lane was the FEI Technical Delegate, and Katy Stewart the FEI Chief Steward.

Dutch Course designer Johan Jacobs designed an enticing course which provided technical challenges for advanced competitors while still being accessible for drivers at their first national event.

The field of entries included many seasoned campaigners including brothers George and Barnaby Bowman, Karen Bassett and Ian Bertram but encouragingly also featured Peter Young driving his sister Emma’s team of rescue ponies in his first FEI 2* and promising performances from youngsters Amelia Waddicor, Charlie Parker-King, Sophia Routledge and Keira Chivers.

The Chairman of the International Teams Committee, Mary Jane Campbell, was delighted with the first Chepstow International which was organised by Jane Isaac the Single Horse Chef d’Equipe in conjunction with the other Chefs d’Equipe, to give UK competitors with British Team prospects the chance to qualify for FEI championships without the cost of taking horses abroad.
