International Driving Competition in Chile

An international two star carriage driving competition for singles took place this past weekend at the 'Haras Tronador' in Chile. The Chilean driver Ricardo Massmann was the only competitor in the pony division and fended off his one opponent in the horse division as well to clinch first place.

The Spanish Level 4 judge Joaquin Medina headed up the five-man international judges panel, and the level 4 World Championship course designer Christian Iseli was responsible for the course. France's Pierre Cazas was the FEI Technichal Delegate.

In addition to the international division, there were also eight competitors who took part in the single divisions in the lower national classes.

A class for authentic carriages was also offered where most of the competitors from the training, national and international divisions took part.
