Belgian Championship back on the calendar

This year, after this did not work out in 2023, another Belgian Championship will be organized for the drivers. On the weekend of September 6th through the 8th, the national title will be fought for on the grounds of Ecurie de la Plaine in Bertrix.

Chairman of the National Driving Committee Mark Wentein has stated that it is necessary to hold a Belgian Championship this year. “Last year we were unable to find competition organizations prepared for the championship. I think it is very important that we all support the sport. We may be split into Wallonia and Flanders, but we are one country. We try to organize a championship in Flanders one year and in Wallonia the next. I think it is important for the sport that new Belgian Champions are honored every year,” said Wentein.

Belgium has twelve national competitions this year. Drivers can qualify themselves for the Belgian Championships by completing at least two national competitions (CAN). During the championship there will be a dressage test, the marathon and a cones course. The new champions will be announced at the end of the weekend.

Belgian Cup

In addition, the Belgian Cup will also be handed out this year. The award ceremony will take place at the end of the season. The winner is determined based on his/her results in all national competitions involving dressage, marathon and cones (A+B+C).
