Kronenberg 2024: Dressage phase is completed
Today was the last day of dressage in Kronenberg. Yesterday's participants often drove their test in the sun, but today the weather conditions were a lot more stormy.Due to the heavy rain that fell during the night from Thursday to Friday and during Friday morning, the Four-in-Hand drivers decided to compete in the 40x80m sand arena, instead of the 40x100m arena that was set up on the grass. The arena on the grass was too wet.
The best dressage score in Kronenberg this year was achieved by Bram Chardon. He drove his horses to first place with 43.95 penalties. Anna Sandmann (GER) is currently in second place, followed by IJsbrand Chardon and Fredrik Persson (SWE).
Youth driver Victoria Persson (SWE), Fredrik’s daughter, came close to the best score. She won the U25 2* single horse class with 44.85 penalties. In the 3* single driving ponies, the Danish Lise Halkjear and Karina Blaabjerg are in the lead. Edwin Kiefer (GER) completes the podium of the standings.
In the 3* pair horses, Francois Dutilloy (FRA) is in the lead with 48.95 penalty points. Rob Lommers (NED) is second with 52.51 and the gap to number three, Graham Heath (GBR) is more than ten penalties.
The participants of the 3* pair ponies, 3* Four-in-Hand ponies and 3* single horses did not manage to score less than 50 penalty points. In the pony pairs , Antonia Brachten (GER) is in the lead. In the four-in-hand driving ponies, Dianne van Bemmel-Legemaat (NED) is at the top and the top three of the single driving horses are completely in French colors with Fabrice Martin, Marion Vignaud and Tony Ecalle.
Tomorrow all 2* classes and the 3* single ponies and 3* pair horses will drive the cones. The 3* pair ponies, 3* Four-in-Hand ponies, 3* single horses and 3* Four-in-Hand horses will drive the marathon tomorrow. On Sunday the roles are reversed.
