Nations Team competition for Horse Fours in Windsor

Royal Windsor Horse Show 2016 has upgraded their International Driving Grand Prix from 12th to 15th May 2016. Windsor will for the first time in history host a CAIO4*-H4, a Nations Team competition for Horse Fours. The pony team drivers will compete in a regular CAI3*-event.


The Organising Committee will offer ferry crossings* and paperwork (export papers) free of charge to attract even more four-in-hand drivers to compete on the unique venue of Royal Windsor Castle. By competing at Windsor, drivers can earn 5 bonus points towards the FEI World Cup™ Driving Qualification for the 2016-2017 indoor World Cup season. As an addition, the prize money will be topped for the Nations Team competition.

The Queen's 90th birthday will be celebrated during the Royal Windsor Horse Show, which is preparing for this big occasion. The OC has invested a fair amount of money in constructing three brand new obstacles and renovating serveral others to upgrade the International Driving Grand Prix even more.

The Ground Jury for the CAIO and CAI3* is composed by Andrew Counsell (GBR) as President, Joaquin Medina (ESP), Anne-Marie Turbé (FRA), Jiri Kunat (CZE) and Martha Hanks-Nicoll (USA). The course design is in the capable hands of level 4 Course Designer Christian Iseli (AUT).
Richard Nicoll (USA) will be the Technical Delegate for the CAIO, Philip Bateman is the Technical Delegate for the CAI3*.

*)The OC will cover the ferry crossing from Calais to Dover and will subsidize any other crossings for the same amount.
