Unique and spectacular: The World Championships for Pony Driving in Oirschot

It is only two weeks before the pony driving World Championships will start. More than 97 participants from 17 different countries are expected to compete for the world title from August 29 to September 3.

The event is open to everyone. It is also a fun event with lots of entertainment for non-horse enthusiasts. The spectacular marathon day on Saturday, September 2nd, is also dedicated to a family day, with all sorts of activities organized for (small) children. Children up to the age of 14 have free entry and parking is also free.

Official opening ceremony

The World Cup will kick off on Tuesday evening, August 29, with an official opening ceremony. The participants from 17 different countries will then be presented. In addition, various performances are provided by local associations. And the nice thing is; admission during the opening is free. Everyone is welcome from 6:00 PM.

Good to know: During the event, money will be collected for the ParaPaard (Para Horse) charity by means of, among other things, a lottery. Horseback riding is more than just a sport, especially for people with disabilities. ParaPaard is committed to making and keeping adapted and therapeutic horse riding more accessible for everyone. The organization is happy to contribute to that!
